In November 2021, new regulations were added to Chapter 2.1.7, which is dedicated to analytical balances. According to the European Pharmacopoeia, it is necessary to:

• Document calibration results by means of a calibration certificate that also contains an indication of the measurement uncertainty
• Carry out calibrations before and after significant maintenance/repair activities
• Describe the practice for installation and use of scales
• Carry out specific tests to verify the performance of the weighing instrument

We offer a variety of metrology services that will help you comply with the requirements of the European Pharmacopoeia:

• Calibration service of single- and multi-range scales, with the issue of relevant certificates, performed in full compliance with UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018
• Testing and issue of relevant documents reporting the measurements, the result and the indication of the smallest net weight
• Periodic verification service, compulsory for metric-legal instruments, certifying compliance with maximum permissible errors during operation and maintenance of markings and seals
